Characteristics The SIQUAD DIO-8 Plug-in Unit offers computer-controlled signal conditioning of up to 8 digital input signals and drives 8 relay outputs. The inputs are insulated by optocouplers. The relay outputs can be configured per channel by jumpers to make or break. Front panel LEDs indicates switching states of inputs and outputs.

The SIQUAD AO4 Plug-in Unit provides up to 4 analog outputs. The signal level can be set by the parameter setting software or via a LabVIEW application.
13

The CAN Interface Unit offers synchronous acquisition of CAN messages from a CAN bus. These data are put on the internal high-speed bus and are processed simultaneously with the other measurement data by the central unit. They can be handled further with an appropriate data acquisition software like DAQSoft or DASYLab (by using the DASYLab driver). Parameter setting is done with the software DaSoft. The CAN-Interface can be used with both DASIM and SIQUAD systems.
14

The Central Unit is the interface between the internal high-speed bus, the Ethernet connection, an RS 232 interface, and the internal RS 485 bus. It is a plug-in unit for the housing and provides the clock for the amplifiers as well as external clocking and synchronization for additional housings resp. chassis. External trigger signals are also administered by the central unit. A remote control can be connected via the remote interface. Parameter setting of the amplifiers is done with the software DaSoft via the Ethernet or RS 232 interface of the central unit
15

The Measurement Software DAQSoft offers acquisition and visualization of data for DASIM and SIQUAD systems. First parameters of the amplifiers are set with DaSoft. DaSoft provides the system settings and generates an interface file “DDL.int“ with the necessary specifications for data acquisition. DAQSoft takes this information of the “DDL.int“ automatically. The file is always updated with actual data after each communication of DaSoft with the measurement system. If changes were done in the system with DaSoft, it will be automatically recognized by DAQSoft and notified. Therefore it is not possible to measure with wrong parameters.
16

The DASIM and SIQUAD Amplifiers fit into (standard) 19” chassis and desktop housings. The housings can be tailored to customerspecific needs concerning number of units and power supply. For mobile applications a wide-range power supply is available.
